What you'll actually do
- 01Generate invoices and statements with the accuracy of someone who knows a decimal error means a phone call from accounting
- 02Follow up on overdue accounts with emails that progressively lose their polite tone
- 03Process incoming payments and match them to invoices — which sounds simple until clients pay random amounts
- 04Resolve billing disputes from customers who insist they already paid (they didn't) or were overcharged (they weren't)
- 05Reconcile accounts receivable reports and explain discrepancies to managers who want clean numbers
