What you'll actually do

• 01Oversee all accounting operations, from AP/AR to general ledger
• 02Present financial reports to the C-suite and board of directors
• 03Manage a team of accountants who bring you problems like you're a financial therapist
• 04Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and every acronym the government invents
• 05Develop and enforce internal controls that keep the company out of headlines
• 06Lead annual budgeting and forecasting — also known as 'professional guessing'
• 07Explain to the CEO why they can't expense their new boat as 'team building equipment'
