What you'll actually do
- 01Process case filings and maintain docket schedules that control the flow of justice — no pressure
- 02Swear in witnesses and manage courtroom procedures with the precision of a military drill sergeant
- 03Record court proceedings and ensure the official record is accurate down to every word
- 04Manage jury pools, summonses, and the logistical nightmare of getting 12 strangers in a room on the same day
- 05Handle public inquiries from people who think you can give them legal advice (you absolutely cannot)
- 06Prepare court orders and judgments for the judge's signature while attorneys breathe down your neck
