Electrician's Helper

You're the lowest rung on the electrical ladder — literally. You'll carry tools, pull wire, hold flashlights, and learn by watching someone who's been doing this for 20 years. It's grunt work with a purpose: every master electrician started exactly where you are, covered in dust and asking 'what's that wire for?' about 400 times a day.

What you'll actually do

• 01Carry tools and materials to wherever the electrician needs them (you're a human toolbox)
• 02Pull wire through walls, ceilings, and crawlspaces built for raccoons, not people
• 03Hold the flashlight steady — and get yelled at when you don't
• 04Clean up job sites after the actual electrical work is done
• 05Watch, listen, and learn from journeymen who've forgotten more than you know
• 06Run to the supply house for parts that were supposed to be on the truck
