Bus Driver

You're piloting a 40-foot vehicle through traffic while children scream behind you OR dealing with public transit passengers who treat your bus like their personal living room. The CDL test was harder than anything in high school, you've memorized every pothole on your route, and you are simultaneously a driver, a therapist, a bouncer, and a traffic navigator. People run alongside the bus waving like you didn't just pull away from the stop they were standing at. You'll develop selective hearing as a survival skill and learn that 'on time' is a suggestion, not a promise.

What you'll actually do

• 05Listen to someone dispute the fare like it's a Supreme Court case over seventy-five cents
• 06Perform pre-trip inspection at 5 AM in the dark while questioning every life choice that led here
