Head Cashier

You're still on the register, but now you also babysit the other cashiers, handle overrides, and deal with every 'I want to speak to a manager' situation before it actually reaches a manager. The raise is modest, the responsibility is not. You're basically management without the title or the salary.

What you'll actually do

• 04Balance the front-end cash drawers at shift changes
• 05De-escalate customer complaints before they reach the manager
