Sales Engineer
SalesYou sell complex technical products by actually understanding how they work — making you the rare hybrid of someone who can code a demo and close a deal. You'll give product presentations to skeptical engineers, translate technical specs into business value, and bridge the gap between the sales team that overpromises and the engineering team that underdelivers. You're the person both sides need and neither side fully claims.

What you'll actually do
- 01Give product demos to technical audiences who are actively trying to find flaws in your solution
- 02Answer deeply technical questions on the spot while the account executive next to you nods and pretends to understand
- 03Build proof-of-concept implementations that show the product working in the customer's actual environment
- 04Write proposals that translate engineering capabilities into dollar signs and ROI percentages
- 05Coordinate between customers who want everything and product teams who can deliver half of it
- 06Travel to client sites because complex technical sales don't close over Zoom
