School Bus Driver
TransportationYou drive a 40-foot bus full of children who are simultaneously the most precious cargo on the road and the most chaotic passengers in transportation. You'll navigate residential streets, railroad crossings, and weather conditions while maintaining order in a rearview mirror that shows pure entropy. Parents trust you with their kids. The kids trust you with nothing — they're too busy throwing things.

What you'll actually do
- 01Pick up and drop off students at designated stops while parents wave, kids dawdle, and traffic backs up behind you
- 02Maintain order on the bus using only your voice, your mirror, and the authority of a person who controls the radio
- 03Navigate a 40-foot vehicle through neighborhoods with parked cars, blind corners, and drivers who pass your stop sign
- 04Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections because the mechanical condition of a school bus is non-negotiable
- 05Handle split-shift schedules — morning route, 4-hour gap, afternoon route — that make a normal day job impossible
- 06Walk the bus after every route to make sure no kid fell asleep in the back, because it happens more than you'd think
