Wind Tech Trainee

You just graduated from a wind energy program and you're about to find out if you really are comfortable 300 feet in the air. The training is intense — GWO safety certifications, tower rescue procedures, and mechanical fundamentals that determine whether turbines spin or sit idle. The good news: the job market is desperate for qualified techs. The terrifying news: your office is the inside of a nacelle.

What you'll actually do

• 01Complete GWO safety training modules — tower rescue, first aid, fire awareness
• 02Shadow senior technicians during routine turbine maintenance
• 03Learn to use SCADA systems to monitor turbine performance data
• 04Practice tower climbing procedures and get comfortable at extreme heights
• 05Study turbine component diagrams and troubleshooting procedures
• 06Discover that 'wind energy' means wind is your coworker, your enemy, and your reason for existing
