Firefighter

You'll run into burning buildings while everyone else runs out. But most of your calls are actually medical emergencies, car accidents, and the occasional cat in a tree. The brotherhood is real, the shifts are 24 hours, and you'll cook more meals at the station than at home.

• 03Train and drill on firefighting techniques and rescue scenarios

• 05Attend community outreach and fire prevention events
• 06Cook meals for the crew (this is taken very seriously)
• 07Try to sleep during 24-hour shifts (you won't)
